Attraction of Umbelliferone in Snail Attractant Pellets (SAP) against the Snail Lymnaea acuminata: An Intermediate Host of Fasciola gigantica

Snail control method is one of the best ways to management fasciolosis. attractant pellets (bait) containing and molluscicide good alternative for Lymnaea acuminata, which a known intermediate host Fasciola gigantica. The result present study find attraction umbelliferone in snail (SAP) against vector different months year. Data shows that active molluscicidal component (umbelliferone) showed more at lower concentration. On contrary, higher concentration, decreases significantly throughout snails declined (P < 0.01) as concentrations incorporated inside were increased water temperature low (i.e., winter season). SAP 0.5% + starch attract maximum (46.0%) proline, (42.33%), month June, whereas minimum was observed January March when 7.0% (6.23-8.1%) 3.0 % proline (7.33-9.45%).
